Member Agreement and Code of Conduct and Ethics
As a Registered Vermont Builder/Remodeler member and to use the term RVB/R to
describe you in your media and with Customers, I/We believe in, and accept, the
responsibilities and obligations inherent in providing building services in
to these ethical beliefs, we agree to abide by and support the following objectives:
I/We Pledge and Agree:
TO CONDUCT my business affairs with professionalism and skill.
TO PROVIDE the best building value possible.
TO PROTECT the consumer through the use of high quality materials and building practices backed by integrity and service.
TO MEET all of our financial obligations in a responsible manner to the best of our ability.
TO COMPLY with the spirit and letter of my business contracts, and manage all of my employees, trade contractors and suppliers with fairness and honor.
TO KEEP informed regarding public policies and other essential information, which affect my business interests and those of the building industry as a whole.
TO COMPLY with the rules and regulations prescribed by law and government agencies for the health, safety and welfare of the community.
TO PROVIDE timely response to items covered under warranty.
TO SEEK to resolve any controversy which we may become involved in through non-litigation dispute resolution mechanism, if possible.
TO NOT ATTEMPT to injure, with malicious intent, either directly or indirectly, the professional reputation, prospects, practice, or employment of another builder.
TO SUPPORT and abide by the decisions of this organization in promoting and enforcing this Code of Conduct and Ethics.

As a Registered Vermont Builder/Remodeler, we assume the full responsibilities of this Code of
Conduct and Ethics freely, and are solemnly mindful that these responsibilities are a part of our
obligation as a Registered Vermont Builder/Remodeler. We pledge our support to these Code of
Conduct and Ethics.
